For 0.03B, I'm pretty sure the only sex scenes are for Juliet and Maggie and those are at the end of their storylines. Sometimes the fade to black is just a transition. Unless it's those that you're talking about.
Try hanging out with her in her bedroom and if that doesn't work, try the bathroom. There might be a quest indicator bug that shows in the wrong rooms.
Please make sure you're on Version 0.03B_f (the _f is important). This has fixed any and all major bugs, especially the music, some VA lines, Juliet's story and Maggie's story. You can use your old save files, just make sure the game is updated to that version.
sorry to tell you, but I just had quite a few bugs on 0.03B_d, although I was saving and loading during fights and some dialogues which I could see causing problems
On a completely fresh save file, Windows:
Lilliths first story/gallery image was just Maggie's first image, even when buying the NSFW, reloading the scene that triggers it, restarting the game, etc. (I had done Maggie's first quest earlier)
(Checking that image in the gallery also caused the gallery to pop back up and overlap during dialogues until I reloaded a save, but that's probably a result of the first bug)
Then Juliet got stuck on a hang out prompt that never went away after going through it, so I couldn't advance her story. (the BJ scene) She'd keep the exclamation mark next to her and the "hang out" prompt so I couldn't gift her anything
Then Lillith's second "hang out" never appeared unless it just requires a LOT of gifts, like 9 or 10. It stopped saying "your relationship is far/close to advancing" and would just repeat "your relationship has strengthened." I saw that around 3 times and gave up.
Her contacts listing has her at complete 2/4, 3 stars over a 0 heart
(I had changed her outfit a couple times, maybe that matters?)
Also the game would crash when I tried to collect income from Lillith or Maggie, though that seems like you just haven't written dialogue to be used there yet
I do like the game a lot, (and town uncovered!) I hope this gets sorted so I can continue these stories, even if I have to start over again

I'm going to upload a Version 0.03B_e soon that'll address and fix those problems. You'll be able to update the game and use your old save file and it'll all be fine!
The game tasks to buy a couple of Bronze decks so that you'll have cards to equip, once the game sees that you've bought enough cards, it'll allow you to exit in the top right.
Not sure about that bug to be honest, I'd try and create a hotfix but to be honest, the next public update of Version 0.03B is set to come out in a few days, 3rd of November. You can use your old save and use the 'update old save' button on the game's phone settings to set everything properly to minimize bugs. That's my best solution I can give you at this moment, the new version would have fixed any 0.02B issues + new content.
Currently dealing with an odd situation might be a bug might not but juliet's heart counter is stuck on 7 with 3 stars if I gift I get the promt keep giving gifts your far from increasing your relationship (also all "cumming"s are missing
There's a hidden point counter which accumulates based on what gift you give her, so giving a character 3 bad gifts that they won't like or regifting the same gift won't add many points and thus that's why it says 'you are far from increasing your relationship'. In 0.04B or 0.05A ( honestly can't remember specifically), I've added a little indicator that helps players know how far they are from progressing to the next chapter. I don't understand what the last part is, is that to do with the H-scenes?
the last part is about H scenes the reason I worded it weirdly is I for some reason have a very hard time remembering how to spell "scenes" sorry about that . But the end of the h scene gives a red error top left saying something like character cum scene not found
I've read the comments that say Maggie is only available in Summer/Spring, but my question is: is there a way to fast skip between seasons that I'm missing? I haven't unlocked any of the other girls other than Juliet so trying to go through both Autumn and Winter only interacting with the one girl has gotten a bit stale. Otherwise is there a way to unlock new girls that I'm missing?
For Version 0.02, because that is a very early version of the game, not a lot of content other that Juliet and partially Maggie are in yet. Version 0.04B has a total of 5 romanceable girls, Juliet & Maggie having fully completed storylines and the other 3 having introduction chapters + a few more for Lilith.
As the development progresses, there will be more content of course but unfortunately, 0.02 really IS only the 2nd major update. We're continuing to bring in more and more content with each update and hopefully we'll get to a point where the true vision of what the game really should be is met. (with a wide variety of complete character storylines and always things to do with each day)
Cheatcodes are available and changing season is an option as one of the variables that a player can change with these cheats.
Make sure you're in spring or summer as Maggie is only really active during those seasons. If you are then I think there may be a bug that has been fixed in future versions. Let me know the summer/spring thing and if it doesn't work, I can try and get a hotfix.

I was thinking that maybe it was bugged or something since I don't recall there ever being a message or something about them only being available for that portion of the year.
Edit: Nevermind, I guess? Even a week into Spring when visiting her while available it has always been MC promising an actual visit "Soon". Maybe it actually has to be Summer?

Because I just barely won I thought it better to level a bit and build my deck a bit more before trying to progress passed that. Then it's back to the front doorstep to decide what to do. The same conversation happens at all hours of the day she's available. Spam slept til Summer to see if that helped and it's still the same.
If I go to peep on her I get the same error MadSargeant described a couple weeks ago.
I am also unable to give her any gifts when I have one equipped.
Oh, that's because of the gifting system. To progress to each chapter, you'll need to gift them items and hangout with them until they get 3 stars. You can only gift one item to each person a day.
I think the Maggie bug has been fixed for 0.03. Also, I forgot how far into Maggie's story we managed to get in 0.02.
Great game. One issue I had was that I completed the tutorial and got stuck looking at the Deck Manager. After smashing all the keys on my keyboard I have no idea how to get to the rest of the game. Also there is no X to leave anywhere in the Deck Manager. Just a question mark that explains the Deck Manager and a place to buy more cards that you can't afford because you start with 500$. I'm not mad just confused.
The game prompts you to buy 4x Bronze I decks, once you've bought 4 of them, you'll be allowed to exit out. The game gives you a secret amount of money that basically gets you those decks without spending any money
On the android version i cant hang out with Juliet at all. No matter what room she is in i get an error and i either have to rollback, or hit ignore and it throws me into a different room. I've barely started the game and feel like a big piece of the current early content is inaccessible.
I'll have a look into that and get a hotfix out asap, check back in a few hours from now or even just tomorrow. I know there's a really weird bug to do with Juliet with the android version that doesn't affect the the android emulator on the game engine so it baffles me how and why that even occurs. I thought I fixed it hence the (_a) portion of the version, let's see if I can try again.
Alternatively, the PC and MAC versions should work fine, this bug is only an android issue and is actually stupid.
Maybe this bug has been already fixed in Patreon Builds, but whenever I try to hang out w/ Juliet (Chapter 4/11), I'm just redirected to my bedroom, and nothing else happens. But aside from that, I really like this game, especially its ambiance!

During the games, is there more to it than just plain luck? I mean even if i get cards etc it all comes down to luck, but if so how are some of the 'boss' battles so difficult? any help?
Here are some tips for the Love & Seduction card game: 1. Utilize BIRD cards for when the opponent has ultra sense so that you aren't immediately at a disadvantage. (The AI will always pick a card stronger than yours unless they don't have one, in which case, they will pick their weakest card to discard). 2. Save your high powered cards for when YOU have ultra sense so you can guarantee high damage. 3. I suggest having approx 10 cards in your deck. You can have a minimum or 5 or a maximum of as many as your power level can hold but 10 is the sweet spot between good damage and good sustain. 4. If the bosses are too hard, you may need to level up. Each time you level up, you gain 2 more HP, and 4 more power slots in your deck. It's really useful for lasting a little longer or just holding more high damage cards to end them quicker. Boss fights unlike the normal 'dates' you go on via the SMS app do not scale in difficulty, if you're having trouble with a boss, simply levelling up will increase your chances of winning.
Yes it's partially RNG but BIRD cards and the Ultra-sense systems are meant to add strategy and swing things into your favour and if you have the right deck build, you should win more often than not (unless you're under powered).
when you click on have fun with juliet nothing happens and you just see the background with an x in the corner to close it. dunno if that's meant to happen as I'm just playing on the free version here but thought you should know
Ah yes, scenes for that are added once you finish her story. It's empty because no scenes have been unlocked yet, I should put an indicator or a note of that for the future!
So far, really compelling concept and I like the strategy puzzle aspect that you've worked into the dating metaphor. Did run into a bug with the gallery in the public version - seems like some of the pictures are missing references and it stops progress/unlocks on it. Hopefully something easy to fix and I can't wait to see continued development updates!

My game won't let me do anything it's just constantly saying I need to give Juliet a gift but don't have one equipped whenever I try to talk to her even though I do have one equipped.
Sorry it isn't very clear in the demo, we've improved and explained it better in newer versions. Gifts can only be given once per day, so if it seems like she's not accepting the gift, it's because you've already given her one that day. Wait for the next day and try again and it SHOULD trigger the gift giving sequence.
That would work, but I literally can't do anything else. The app for going on dates won't open, so I can't do anything to pass the time and go to the next day.
Hmmm that might require a save restart if you're playing on 0.01B. I believe we've implemented the gifting tutorial at the beginning, which teaches the player how to gift items before unlocking the ability to sleep and or use the dating (SMS) app. If that gifting thing isn't working, maybe a trigger was missed. Let me know how that goes? Another requirement is to add cards into your deck using the deck manager and also opening the wardrobe at least once.
We can try and release a 0.01B_b version that adds a hotfix in the in-game phone settings that marks the gifting tutorial as complete, but that'll be in a day or two.
For some reason, I don't have the option to hang out with Juliet after the first CG, and Maggie has always shown up as being "Not Available" when I go to check. Am I missing something?
Hey, to hang out with Juliet or any future characters, you have to gift them a gift item. You'll need to earn 3 stars (in the phone contacts) for them to advance the story aka hangout. It was explained in the story but I think I can improve on that in future builds.

Sugar Service will be that game that I had envisioned for ATU but was too early in my Adventure VN Game Dev life cycle to do properly.

Also...I've got NSFW mode turned on but the only babe around is Juliet and...I guess I'll just...keep paying her? while otherwise just playing cards against people I assume are women based on their names. Again: love the gameplay, but where's it going? Where's the NSFW content?
Lastly: some more/better clothing and styling choices would be inconsequentially nice. Not into the platinum bowl cut and baggy everything this dude seems to think is realistic as a male escort in [any year, let alone] 2022.

Going into the logic of things, the date that you've accepted will randomly pick 1 of the 5 stats that they "value highly" and then the tips generated are (1% of the earning) x the stat in choosing. Also noted that the tip is rounded to the closest dollar above $0.
For example, they give you $100 and they value passion. You have a passion level of 10 so you get a tip of $10. (1% of 100 x 10, rounded to closest dollar).
Originally, we were going to use those stats for story-purposes as well but I think we'll implement a minimum requirement for when you take characters out on dates in the town. Say, you want to take Juliet to go to the bar, you'll need to have enough Charisma for her to accept the date.
As the game grows, the balancing of things will be iffy so I need to keep an eye on it.
There are 3 CGs in the demo, 2x of Juliet and 1x of Maggie which looks to me that you haven't unlocked her yet? To unlock Maggie, you need to be level 3+ and the seasons have to be either summer or spring (this is due to her hobby). Head to the bedroom and you'll receive a notification saying that you've got a VIP Client.
All the CG art has nude versions that we planned to be automatically unlocked when you've completed their 10 chapter storyline aka unlocked girlfriend mode. But as a temporary fix, we made it so you can unlock them by purchasing them in the phone's gallery (with nsfw mode on green).
Also I should note that investing in the camgirl characters, we plan to have it so that when you reach investment milestones, you'll unlock more clothing options for them to wear around, the higher the investment, the more risqué or special the outfits become.
Not sure if you reached the end of Juliet's story for the demo but in case it wasn't clear and tell me if it wasn't, I can then improve it. You have to gift and hangout with a character 3x (3 stars in the contacts page) for them to activate the next chapter of their storyline. You'll definitely know if you reach the end if you see the 'In Development: thanks for playing this far' card.
Version 0.01B will include a complete Juliet storyline so that'll include all her story CGs plus a showcase of the sex animations (yes, multiple). I still really like the look of frame by frame animation personally so that'll probably be what we're looking at doing. That's due in March 2023.
And we're definitely going to add more clothing (and hair option) when we open up the barber shop. The demo only includes the basics as it was just there to test all the dress-up features.

Boss fights unlike the normal 'dates' you go on via the SMS app do not scale in difficulty, if you're having trouble with a boss, simply levelling up will increase your chances of winning.
Yes it's partially RNG but BIRD cards and the Ultra-sense systems are meant to add strategy and swing things into your favour and if you have the right deck build, you should win more often than not (unless you're under powered).
when you click on have fun with juliet nothing happens and you just see the background with an x in the corner to close it. dunno if that's meant to happen as I'm just playing on the free version here but thought you should know

Ah yes, scenes for that are added once you finish her story. It's empty because no scenes have been unlocked yet, I should put an indicator or a note of that for the future!

So far, really compelling concept and I like the strategy puzzle aspect that you've worked into the dating metaphor. Did run into a bug with the gallery in the public version - seems like some of the pictures are missing references and it stops progress/unlocks on it. Hopefully something easy to fix and I can't wait to see continued development updates!

My game won't let me do anything it's just constantly saying I need to give Juliet a gift but don't have one equipped whenever I try to talk to her even though I do have one equipped.
Sorry it isn't very clear in the demo, we've improved and explained it better in newer versions. Gifts can only be given once per day, so if it seems like she's not accepting the gift, it's because you've already given her one that day. Wait for the next day and try again and it SHOULD trigger the gift giving sequence.
That would work, but I literally can't do anything else. The app for going on dates won't open, so I can't do anything to pass the time and go to the next day.
Hmmm that might require a save restart if you're playing on 0.01B. I believe we've implemented the gifting tutorial at the beginning, which teaches the player how to gift items before unlocking the ability to sleep and or use the dating (SMS) app. If that gifting thing isn't working, maybe a trigger was missed. Let me know how that goes? Another requirement is to add cards into your deck using the deck manager and also opening the wardrobe at least once.

We can try and release a 0.01B_b version that adds a hotfix in the in-game phone settings that marks the gifting tutorial as complete, but that'll be in a day or two.

For some reason, I don't have the option to hang out with Juliet after the first CG, and Maggie has always shown up as being "Not Available" when I go to check. Am I missing something?
Hey, to hang out with Juliet or any future characters, you have to gift them a gift item. You'll need to earn 3 stars (in the phone contacts) for them to advance the story aka hangout. It was explained in the story but I think I can improve on that in future builds.
As for Maggie, make sure that you're in spring/summer because of her hobby. We might make it so that that isn't restricted to those seasons.

Sugar Service will be that game that I had envisioned for ATU but was too early in my Adventure VN Game Dev life cycle to do properly.

Is there a [further] guide somewhere that explains the use of Charisma/Strength/etc and if/why we should be blowing money on upping those? Seems like I get tips based on the skill level of the opponent and not the skill level of the trait for which they tip?
Also...I've got NSFW mode turned on but the only babe around is Juliet and...I guess I'll just...keep paying her? while otherwise just playing cards against people I assume are women based on their names. Again: love the gameplay, but where's it going? Where's the NSFW content?
Lastly: some more/better clothing and styling choices would be inconsequentially nice. Not into the platinum bowl cut and baggy everything this dude seems to think is realistic as a male escort in [any year, let alone] 2022.

Going into the logic of things, the date that you've accepted will randomly pick 1 of the 5 stats that they "value highly" and then the tips generated are (1% of the earning) x the stat in choosing. Also noted that the tip is rounded to the closest dollar above $0.
For example, they give you $100 and they value passion. You have a passion level of 10 so you get a tip of $10. (1% of 100 x 10, rounded to closest dollar).
Originally, we were going to use those stats for story-purposes as well but I think we'll implement a minimum requirement for when you take characters out on dates in the town. Say, you want to take Juliet to go to the bar, you'll need to have enough Charisma for her to accept the date.
As the game grows, the balancing of things will be iffy so I need to keep an eye on it.
There are 3 CGs in the demo, 2x of Juliet and 1x of Maggie which looks to me that you haven't unlocked her yet? To unlock Maggie, you need to be level 3+ and the seasons have to be either summer or spring (this is due to her hobby). Head to the bedroom and you'll receive a notification saying that you've got a VIP Client.
All the CG art has nude versions that we planned to be automatically unlocked when you've completed their 10 chapter storyline aka unlocked girlfriend mode. But as a temporary fix, we made it so you can unlock them by purchasing them in the phone's gallery (with nsfw mode on green).
Also I should note that investing in the camgirl characters, we plan to have it so that when you reach investment milestones, you'll unlock more clothing options for them to wear around, the higher the investment, the more risqué or special the outfits become.
Not sure if you reached the end of Juliet's story for the demo but in case it wasn't clear and tell me if it wasn't, I can then improve it. You have to gift and hangout with a character 3x (3 stars in the contacts page) for them to activate the next chapter of their storyline. You'll definitely know if you reach the end if you see the 'In Development: thanks for playing this far' card.
Version 0.01B will include a complete Juliet storyline so that'll include all her story CGs plus a showcase of the sex animations (yes, multiple). I still really like the look of frame by frame animation personally so that'll probably be what we're looking at doing. That's due in March 2023.
And we're definitely going to add more clothing (and hair option) when we open up the barber shop. The demo only includes the basics as it was just there to test all the dress-up features.
