So sorry to hear that happened to you. Check to see if it did autosave as renpy already does so, autosaves should be under the 'A' section of the load screen, hopefully it had saved then.
We've already implemented that for future versions, adding multiple forced autosaves, reminders, and even forcing players to hard save every in-game week and before that prompt shows up.
Awesome, great to hear! I've only gotten one report ever of someone's game completely wiping all saves (and I can only assume that's the cause of their specific android phone) so be careful.
rather off topic, but i wanted to bring the ATU 1.0 situation to your attention if you weren't already here; a lot of folk are feeling rather scorned that the full release isn't all they hoped to be.
whilst i admit i feel somewhat disappointed at this information too, i'm not here to cast foul words; i understand how it can feel to run out of steam, even when it's something you quite enjoy and are proud of.
all i'm here to say is ultimately this: keep on keeping on, have the best of time, and when you feel you have some motivation back, maybe take another glance at a town uncovered and see how you do.
so, that said, best of luck with the development of Sugar Service!
I appreciate your understanding, ATU is my game after all so it's kinda hard for me to not be aware of people's disappointments and distaste towards me.
Ultimately, it doesn't bother me at all. There's no one else in the entire world that has thought about at extreme depth about what I should do and the best decision I can make than myself. And the decision I made puts my happiness and mental health above everything else.
It's not just that I ran out of steam, I ran out of steam years ago, it's also the fact that I stopped enjoying developing for that game years ago too and I really can't say I'm "proud" of the game. But that is 100% on me for starting an overly ambitious project with the game-dev experience of a few days. I'm proud of myself for attempting it, and learning, and actually doing something big, but I can't say I'm all that proud of what I made to be frank.
The only reason I kept going for as long as it did was because I made a promise to finish the game and I tried so hard to keep it, even if year after year, the end was still far in the horizon. Like trekking through a desert on a treadmill type slow and painful. At the very least, I provided an ending, it's not the best ending and there's lots of plot holes but if my options were to provide a bad ending or no ending at all, I chose to at least try and have a full release.
There's so many things I wish I could change with ATU but the game's far too big to even tackle it, and just thinking about it is very off-putting for me. The list of things I dislike about my own creation now is unfortunately bigger than what I like about it. I liked that it gave me so much learning experience and the opportunity to try again with a new project but that's about it.
Sugar Service is unofficially the game I wish ATU could have been but I just simply didn't have the skills and experience back then and going back to old work is not a very appealing prospect for any creative person. We all wanna feel like we're moving forward, not being stuck in the past.
I'm also aware people loved ATU, way more than I could and I appreciate that. If I knew what I know now and started ATU today, it would be a much different, much better, but much different game. There's not much I can or want to do without jeopardizing my mental health so don't hold your hopes out for ATU. I'll do some hotfixes and polish but that's about it.
and that's perfectly fine; like i said, just take you time and see if your feelings improve; should that prove fruitless, there's always the option of passing the mantle to someone who could fulfill the vision, yours or theirs.
for now though? just unwind the way you see fit, and see where it goes.
Did you click yes? That's a message from the renpy engine itself and it's saying that your save was created on a different device. Maliciously constructed save files can harm your computer. If you trust it, you can click yes, I can only assume that it'd let you open your save.
Not sure, I haven't been prompted with that message before. Did you transfer your save from like a laptop to a PC or something? I can only suggest finding a solution on Google from other renpy games.
I've been playing this game for a while now, and I have a question about Quinni. How do I advance with her, and are you planning to add more scenes or gameplay with her?
Also, how do I unlock the cam girls? Do I need the cheat code thing?
Don't remember quite how many scenes are available in the public version but her story differs from the others in that she advances every at player level 5, 15, 25, 35, etc. Her story is meant to be played out in an entire playthrough of the game.
For the camgirl app, yeah, those are for the 'manager' supporters of the game
after playing for quite a bit, romancing, i think 3 girls? heres my review.
I like the game so far, looking forward to the future, one of my favourite aspects is the "rock, paper, scissors, bird" game, its pretty fun, just have to replay some people in the city to build up your xp to get stronger cards (not a complaint), and i like the stocks aspect, good way to get extra money, if you wait for the right time lol. dont think i have any complaints? currently theres only 4 vip clients i think, but obviously this game is still in very early access. im not sure if i have a favourite girl yet, my favourite girls in a town uncovered were either ellie, or your roomate/friend you live with, build the box fort with etc, only reason i make that comparison is because its by the same developer lol.
*edit* theres one girl that im not sure how to progress with, Quinni, the (possible) trans girl (depending on players choice), but im sure they'll be more progress with her in future updates!
Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! I'm glad you enjoy the game, each version, the game gets better and better for sure and I can't wait for you to experience it at it's full potential in the future.
We always take feedback from the players and look into improving and upgrading parts of the game to make things more engaging, fun, or add quality of life things.
Quinni's character is unique one because she's neither a camgirl or a VIP client but a rival. So her story chapters are actually triggered every 10 player levels; 5, 15, 25, 35, etc. Her story stuff is meant to be played and experienced over the full length of the game, and I'm planning to add more special characters like her, that evolve over a long-term period
By player levels, do you mean, if i keep doing the RPS battles with clients, and leveling up my deck? Right now my deck/player level is 13, and my game version is 0.11B_a, so maybe i'll keep playing, leveling up, see if i can progress with her.
One possible minor bug, im not sure if it is a bug or not, i have $13k, but i cant open a pack silver cards, it says theyre $8k, when it happened before, i just got more money and it let me, so im not sure its a bug, i figure you may just need enough to at least purchase the 2nd or 3rd silver pack.
i did sort of like the animation and art style more in ATU, like, in the NSFW scenes, those animations, but of course this is still early acess, and as for the art style, well, this is a different game, i wouldn really expect the art style to be totally the same.
I'll have to look into that bug. I shall do it for the upcoming 0.15 update as I also include the gold packs.
As for the animations. What you see right now is pretty much how it's going to be. There's not gonna be some magical update where I suddenly choose to rework 100s of animation. The style and way it's done is chosen on purpose to balance quality, ease, but also the amount of work needed.
ATU's art style is very "manufactured" and was done so to help the game stand out from the crowd visually. It's not very natural for me to draw, hence why it comes off as rougher and creatively, takes a lot more work, and effort to produce for a result I'm not very proud of. I'm glad you like it but I've avoided that style for this game because I simply hate drawing like that.
Alright yeah i can understand that, about the ATU art style,
in the future, when i download an updated version of the game, would i be able to load a current save and keep playing from that save file, or have to restart anew? im unbothered if i have to start anew lol, just wondering.
Yeah, Sugar Service has an 'update old save' feature and you'll be prompted on how to use it when you attempt to load an old save file. The general rule though is that the bigger the gap in between the save file and the version playing, the less reliable it is. You'll be able to attempt to try and use it but there's too many big changes and updates in between to guarantee a smooth transfer.
Alright I'm pissed.... While I must admit I am half heartedly to blame since I didn't make a hard save myself but I'm so used to the convince of auto save.... But that's not even my issue and it's crazy cause I've had 0 issues till now and I've been playing almost 3 days now, here and there....(even loaded a save file through the auto save folder this morning to start the game up) But As I was playing though I got a pop-up notification asking if I liked the game so far + said I'd be in-game credited like $20-50k (don't remember exactly which) if I said yes and rated the app 5 stars so I did and when I finished rating it I went to reopen the game and it basically forced restarted the app loading me into the main menu and now all my auto saves vanished..... + To add insult to injury: when I started up the new game I STILL DONT HAVE THE FUCKING MONEY .!!!!!! 😡🤬💯
Oh my God, I'm really sorry to hear that. That kind of thing is something that's out of my control though since it's to do with the app engine and perhaps even how your particular phone handles opening up apps and background apps. This is the first I've ever heard of this happening so I pretty much concluded that that notification wasn't problematic.
I really couldn't tell you why it wiped all your auto-saves like that. I'll add in some hard-save reminders throughout and before that notification to future proof this from happening.
Game is off to a great start, big fan of ATU, this might just be me being a dumbass but how do I "advance" the roommates' relationships, I've gifted them a bunch and talked with them as well, just a little confused, is there a guide I can read?
As long as you have 3 stars and a heart symbol on the gift icon, you'll be able to advance to the next chapter. The guide is in the web app in the in-game phone
Where can I get a completed save file? I already played the old content and would like to just skip to the new content, but I don't have any save files still.
Thank you. I played the game for the first time yesterday, but was too tired. Then I clicked on everything on the cell phone and everywhere but found nothing.
*edit, nevermind, saw your reply saying 2025-2026! :) *
Hey! just downloading now, really liked A Town Uncovered, hoping there will be more to that in the future too, but will this game also be on steam in the future? i hadnt seen anything about it on this page.
ATU is in its finished state, excluding some polish and bug fixes that I've yet to do. Mainly it's so I can focus on this game and have it grow and thrive. Sugar Service will be on steam in the future for sure!
Be careful about supporting this dev, he will abandon projects as he gets bored of them, a town uncovered was basically not updated for a year before he just "condensed" aka cut a lot of the story and then just pushed it out the door to be able to do something else.
Valid take. A Town Uncovered was a game I've started 9 years ago and it was the first ever project I worked on. I knew nothing about the importance of planning a project, feature creep, and I was literally learning how to do things as I was making it. Cool ideas were out of my wheelhouse and by the time I knew how to code it, there was too much content for it to be feasible.
It was the singular project that made me hate being a game dev, the only reason I didn't "abandon" it sooner was because I felt like I owed people to continue working on it. Most of it, especially the last few years were mentally painful. Until I finally decided to finish the game as best I could do without having to commit to something I hated for another x amount of years.
Yeah, it's not a perfect ending and the me from 9 years ago would've hated it too. But I believe it was the right decision for myself as a game dev and it's at least something rather than ACTUALLY not having a conclusion. THAT would be the definition of abandonment.
It was one of those "can't people tell I really hated developing for this game, why are they still supporting it". I was pretty vocal and it wasn't a secret that I really just didn't wanna do it. So yeah, I'd rather pursue something I'm super excited, passionate, and proud of, like Sugar Service than some amateur project I made 9 years ago that so happened to find some luck and success within the community.
I acknowledge that without ATU, I wouldn't be able to make Sugar Service, so I thank it for that but I'm not sorry that I decided to call it quits earlier than it needed. I've taken all the mistakes I've learnt from ATU and have and will continue to put it into Sugar Service's development. I've planned the game out and designed it in a way that makes me motivated and has a clear end game.
I'm sorry for not giving the ATU that we envisioned together but I'm putting my happiness and mental health before that.
Absolutely love working on Sugar Service, I feel the complete opposite of burnt out whenever I'm working on it. I get excited about what new content I can make and share with ya'll
"can't people tell I really hated developing for this game, why are they still supporting it" - Ummm.... No. People can't see in your head, and most people don't really care about the person behind it. That isn't meant as an insult, it is just a reality. I guess that's the best possible outcome at this point - but really, there are no winners here; still, as you laid out, it could have been worse. Just checked- game was put on steam almost 4 1/2 Years ago, so basically "halfway in" at this point, since it isn't too recent, you get a pass here. It is sad, because I really liked it (def. in my top 5, if not 3 in this genre) and held back playing it for some time, to not burn out on content drip. I feel kinda burned here, but I understand your where you are coming from. I don't think there's going to be support for your new projects from me for the time being (still wish you luck and success, but I'd rather wait and see the finished product before investing in it). It'd be nice if you decided in the future, after taking a break from this game, that you revisit it with fresh ideas and improved competence and confidence. But that's not a decision for today.
Absolutely fair, hopefully we can produce a finished product that you'd be willing to try out in a few years. As for ATU, I may come back to it every once in a while to do some minor clean up on some parts, like making certain scenes more grounded but I highly doubt I'll have any drive or motivation to actually improve it in a noteworthy way. Nothing that requires a replay of the whole game.
To me, I'd rather spend my time working on the NEXT great project instead of trying to salvage (in my eyes) a big mess of scraps, clunkily put together with super glue and glitter. I'm happy just having it sat in the garage as an occasional reminder of where I started from and that it gave me the experience to create better things.
I think most people, if asked to instead of working on a new, exciting project that would be better than the last, they should try and improve the work they did 10 years ago when they were fresh faced, green, and learning the fundamentals. They'd scoff at the idea, it just doesn't have a single appealing aspects to it. And that's not towards you specifically, I just mean in general, we sometimes forget how soul-sucking backtracking is, in art, games, work, life, whatever. Everyone wants to feel like we're moving forward and not back.
I appreciate you having ranked ATU so highly on your personal favorites, I wouldn't even rank that game in my top 20. Which is good for me personally, it means my standards for a game I can create is still sky high.
Hey, I'm a few minutes into the game and I'm getting locked out of progression (Version 0.11B). It's asking me to go to my bedroom to change before talking to Juliet but the room change button is grey and isn't activating. I tried to load back my save and go to the bedroom first and change but it still gives me the same dialogue and locks me out.
Rancid. So the main character gets fucked in the ass, what type of DEGENERATE bullshit is this? Choke, my guy, you can be as much as you wanna be against AI, but your morals on other departments invalidate your opinions.
On the left you have the list of cards you own, in the middle, the big green space you have your deck. You use the deck in card battles, and to make one you select the desired cards by clicking them. On the right, you will have a card's description once you do click on it. You can also click that orange "!" on the right corner, iirc it gives some info about the system, and if you still don't get it, save your game, start a new one, pay attention to the tutorial this time and load this save back again.Or you can just use common sense...
So I had a file on the .12B and had it be fixed via the in-game option to make it a .13B file, and now I can't do the card battle with Harley when she's about to confront her ex
So uhh I'm probably getting annoying, but right after selling CMGL stocks, the game let me buy GSKI stocks, even tough it was thursday, and it is not open on that day.
The game's in development so it simply means we don't have art for it yet. We commission other artist to feature their art with our characters so we do have to pace our budget for it. Overtime, the card's art will be filled!
It will do both depending on what it is. If it's a whole H-scene that doesn't have an alternative, it'll just give you a message saying that you've unlocked a new scene that you've opted out of. If it DOES have an alternate version and it doesn't include anything you've toggled off then it'll show.
If it's dialogue stuff, there'll be an alternate line usually. There is a Netori toggle in 0.13B that'll change Maggie's 'husband' into 'ex-husband' and make it so they've been divorced for a while.
So uhh when I gave Willow a gift while she was in the bathroom, she asked me to sit on thec ouch and watch a movie for some reason. I'm 99% sure that this was not intended so uhh yes this is a bug report.
I'll look into that! Thanks, some interactions in the bathroom will have the characters lead out of into the living area so that might be it? But I'll check anyways.
They will be added in around 0.14 - 0.15 when we introduce calendar events! The first one will be the MC's birthday party :D. Patreon's version is pretty much there.
I want to love this game but the card game is absolutely rigged against the player. Items are only helpful if you know whats coming and you cant use them after selecting a card. I just went through 4 straight matches (two garner trusts and 2 fast dates) where they countered EVERY single time and I lost, hiking up that shame meter quite a bit. Theres gotta be a better mini game or better way to do it.
TLDR, we're working on updating and reworking the consumables for Version 0.14 but I'll explain why they are the way they currently are.
The Ultra Sense is the 'when you know what's coming', that's usually the best time to use them. Otherwise it's a hail-mary play which usually is the kind of play that could win you the game.
During playtest, if allow players to use it after a card is selected, they essentially become invincible if they have the right consumables because it's a get out of jail free card; the answer to that would be to lessen the amount of consumables you get, which then makes it very valuable and would end up never being used (like item hoarders in RPGs, only using their items at the final boss).
We want to provide players a way to mitigate attacks against them without it being a no-brainer way of plowing through matches that are way above their level. There's a satisfying feeling when your consumables does land and reflects damage or activates ultra-sense but we do understand it's also a bad feeling to use one and waste it.
We're looking into adding passive activations where it would provide you protection for multiple rounds of a match in exchange for health or ultra-sense activation or something. There's not a lot of variables that can be changed so we'll try our best to come up with something within that realm.
Dude just quick save before starting a card game and load it if you lose. Also if you're not playing against higher level than yours the game's easy AF. It's grindy, sure, but very easy.
I second this. I really, REALLY want to love this game - the art is lovely, the story seems fun, basically everything seems cool but the card game is just annoying. I say this as someone who played multiple card games in my day, even at high levels, but this one is just nonsense. The game seem completely random and most of the time it feels actually unwinnable, and I'm talking about the very first matches available. I think I managed to win once or twice and then never again. Honestly at this point if it's going to be full-RNG like this I'd rather have an option to skip the minigame.
Appreciate the feedback, I've given a long reply to the OP about the decision on why the game it is at the moment. Long story short, it's rock-paper-scissors with a little twist. It's meant to be on the more accessible side, everyone knows how to play RPS and everyone understands how the odds work in RPS. With the addition of the Ultra-Sense, Bird cards, and consumables, it goes from complete RNG into mostly RNG with a bit of strategy.
For 0.14, we've overhauled the consumables so instead of 3 crappy items that feel wasteful when it doesn't trigger. We have 10 different items that have instant-effects, passives, cooldowns, and card manipulation.
Looking forward to the next updates! I think there really is room to grow for the minigame. When 0.14 comes out I'll definitely check it out and see how it goes :)

Link on the page.

If you'd like, send me a DM on discord (link on the page) and I can probably aid you further
that sucks im sorry :/ i had the same thing pop up a couple weeks ago, i clicked yes and rate, with no issues, not sure why you wouldve gotten that :/
Game is off to a great start, big fan of ATU, this might just be me being a dumbass but how do I "advance" the roommates' relationships, I've gifted them a bunch and talked with them as well, just a little confused, is there a guide I can read?
As long as you have 3 stars and a heart symbol on the gift icon, you'll be able to advance to the next chapter. The guide is in the web app in the in-game phone
Thanks, I was being an idiot, I was talking with them out of their rooms and when I tried inside their rooms it brought up the hang out option.
Nice, glad you got it. The 'ghosted' (!) icon means its either the wrong location or wrong time.
I haven't played the game entirely but can I ask if there is option available to disable voyeurism entirely ?
There isn't but you can just choose not to peek at them. Voyeurism is a major, primary fetish of the game
Where can I get a completed save file? I already played the old content and would like to just skip to the new content, but I don't have any save files still.
How do I save in this game?
Press escape on PC or the menu button at the bottom
Thank you. I played the game for the first time yesterday, but was too tired. Then I clicked on everything on the cell phone and everywhere but found nothing.
This game has some kind of strip game? (sorry but my perv mind can't separate strip and cards when the letter H is involved)
there's no strip game, it's just a card game. I don't know where the letter 'H' came from, there's no 'H' in the title.
i think you accidentally listed the mac download for 0.11B as a linux download
You're absolutely right! That's my bad, I've fixed it. Thanks for that
Is it possible to "add" an optional Futa protagonist (male protagonist skin swapping)
Acceptable for me even if I need to pay extra for this
Not possible, because it's hand-drawn assets with unique art asset requirements, it's a LOT of workload for a feature I never intended to add.
Got it, thanks for the reply
*edit, nevermind, saw your reply saying 2025-2026! :) *
Hey! just downloading now, really liked A Town Uncovered, hoping there will be more to that in the future too, but will this game also be on steam in the future? i hadnt seen anything about it on this page.
ATU is in its finished state, excluding some polish and bug fixes that I've yet to do. Mainly it's so I can focus on this game and have it grow and thrive. Sugar Service will be on steam in the future for sure!
okay great! thank you!
W dev, dont care what others say.
Well i hope you enjoy working on this for the future. not because you feel you owe anyone, but because its something you want to do, for you!
Absolutely love working on Sugar Service, I feel the complete opposite of burnt out whenever I'm working on it. I get excited about what new content I can make and share with ya'll
thats great! good for you! :)
If you're in Juliet's room, the game tells you that you need to give a gift to Juliet before you can proceed.
Yo, I'm currently lvl 13 in the game and have 9k money but for some reason I can't buy or click the silver card pack, any ideas on why is that?
Yeah, it's because it's not in the game yet. Game is still in development so there's content that are still yet to be available.
Oh alright, I thought I was doing something wrong, looking forward to more updates, cheers!
Can you romance multiple girls in one playthrough?
Yes you can! Harem is one of the main fetishes.
Rancid. So the main character gets fucked in the ass, what type of DEGENERATE bullshit is this? Choke, my guy, you can be as much as you wanna be against AI, but your morals on other departments invalidate your opinions.
my guy, you're the one that had that fetish toggled on, it was totally avoidable if you can read
lmao you could've turned that fetish off, dumbass, learn to read.
can someone help me, its so confusing
Have you tried clicking on the cards?
On the left you have the list of cards you own, in the middle, the big green space you have your deck. You use the deck in card battles, and to make one you select the desired cards by clicking them. On the right, you will have a card's description once you do click on it. You can also click that orange "!" on the right corner, iirc it gives some info about the system, and if you still don't get it, save your game, start a new one, pay attention to the tutorial this time and load this save back again.Or you can just use common sense...
Are you going to release a Spanish version?
We'll consider Localization in the future!
So I had a file on the .12B and had it be fixed via the in-game option to make it a .13B file, and now I can't do the card battle with Harley when she's about to confront her ex
Are you on 0.13B_a (the _a hotfix fixes that issue I believe)
So i have a question how do i make the girls in the pictures in the phone Gallery naked?
You'll have to complete their storyline and unlock GF mode, the photos will automatically unlock the NSFW version if the nsfw check if toggled on!
So uhh I'm probably getting annoying, but right after selling CMGL stocks, the game let me buy GSKI stocks, even tough it was thursday, and it is not open on that day.
All good! I'll look into it. Not a major bug from the sounds of it but still will be addressed.
what's with the unshown cards like "boob grab" and "sexy alone time"
is it something i need to pay for? a setting i've opted out of?
The game's in development so it simply means we don't have art for it yet. We commission other artist to feature their art with our characters so we do have to pace our budget for it. Overtime, the card's art will be filled!
this ai hating is so goofy
At least Ai is beter than those games made with standard Koikatsu/Honeyselect assets i say.
Do the fetish toggles skip content or edit it for instance if I uncheck the dickgirl or netori toggle will the I still have access to the content.
When can we expect threesome content to be added if at all?
They will be added in around 0.14 - 0.15 when we introduce calendar events! The first one will be the MC's birthday party :D. Patreon's version is pretty much there.
Ah yes I've been looking for a game like this for quite a long time now ! Bery good game, recomended by uhh me
Thank you! Glad you're enjoying it ^^
Possible Steam release as ea or in general
Late 2025 to mid 2026
will there be pregnancy in it? I'm already sold on the game, but a friend of mine is really curious about it, I'm asking for them, I swear
No pregnancy, sorry!
Really love the game! But isn't there any way to toggle NTR with Maggie? I just cannot tolerate cucking and cheating and shit like that. Thank you!
I can definitely add that for future versions!
什么时候会有中文啊😢
